PayrHealth, a payer management firm, and DocSpera, a healthcare technology provider, have formed a strategic partnership to help ASCs comply with new CMS requirements for patient outcomes reporting.
Starting in 2027, CMS will require ASCs to collect and submit patient-reported outcomes for at least 45% of Medicare patients undergoing certain procedures, such as total knee and hip replacements. A voluntary reporting period in 2026 will allow centers to test systems before penalties of up to 2% of revenue take effect, according to an Oct. 20 news release.
The partnership is expected to combine DocSpera’s workflow automation and EHR integration with PayrHealth’s payor management expertise to create an automated platform for outcomes tracking and CMS reporting.
