Armando Cardoso, Chief Executive Officer

Armando is an industry expert in fee-for-service and value-based contracting. He has led healthcare teams from multiple perspectives from his time leading national analytics for Ascension Health, to serving as Head of Growth for Clover Health and leading the West/Mid-American provider contracting team for CareCentrix. Armando has also spent time in Finance with Morgan Stanley’s Healthcare Investment Banking team in New York and Summit Partners Healthcare Private Equity team in Boston.

Armando earned a degree in finance and accounting from Georgetown University. He lives in Austin, TX with his wife, son, and two dogs.

Pat Apodaca, Chief Strategy Officer

Pat is a nationally recognized expert in managed care, health economics, value-based care, advanced payment models, medical technologies, and digital health solutions. His career includes more than 25 years of consulting and executive leadership experience developing and implementing strategies to grow revenue and ensure operational effectiveness of healthcare organizations such as Prudential Healthcare, Humana, Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Community Health Systems (CHS), and BCBS/Health Care Service Corp (HCSC). 

Pat holds an MBA and BS from NM State University and lives in Austin, TX with his wife and Border-Husky.

John Dionisio, Chief Information Officer

John currently serves as Chief Information Officer for PayrHealth. He has 15 years of experience in managed care, provider management, and healthcare business development with extensive focus in medical economics, analytics, strategic and business development, budget, informatics, and data management. 

John has an MPH from Columbia University and a BS from the University of South Florida.

Jonathan Enriquez

President of Network Contracting & Govt. Programs

Jonathan is a seasoned healthcare executive that has spent the last two decades in 23 states with the majority in Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance. He has held leadership positions in health plan operations, provider network contracting and management, value-based contracting, and market growth strategy for Health Care Service Corporation BCBS, Horizon NJ BCBS, Aetna, start-up tech Angle Health, WellCare, and Health Services for Children with Special Needs.

Rebecca Light, MBA

President of Revenue Cycle Management

Rebecca is an industry expert in revenue cycle management, healthcare compliance, credentialing, and strategic payor relations. Prior to joining PayrHealth, she was the founder of SilverCreek RCM which she grew to encompass three corporate entities through organic growth and key acquisitions. Rebecca’s healthcare career spans over 25 years where she has also had the opportunity to lead multiple teams and departments for Via Christi, Ascension hospital, and clinics. During her tenure with SilverCreek, she not only had oversight of RCM services but also established the compliance and audit department and policies, restructured a PHO with delegated credentialing, and started the practice management department.

Rebecca holds an MBA and BBA in Finance from Pittsburg State University and worked in the investment space before healthcare.

Sarah Metz, MBA

Vice President of Sales

Prior to joining PayrHealth, Sarah has built a career in a wide range of Healthcare specialties including private duty, skilled nursing, assisted living, and most recently primary care & hospice. An experienced sales leader, Sarah enjoys developing teams through recruiting, establishing, and developing high performing teams. Sarah’s passion for leadership focuses on developing talent and working to drive steady growth in fast-paced environments.

Emily Barlow, MBA

Vice President of Managed Care Contracting & Strategy

Emily has spent over a decade in the healthcare industry and has deep experience with provider relations, network management and utilization, market research, and project management. She began her career in healthcare managing a primary care physician practice and most recently spent 8 years with CareCentrix managing provider operations teams across the US, negotiating contracts, and leading network operations.

Emily holds an MBA and BS from Arizona State University and lives in Arizona with her two doodles.

Shelly Young

Vice President of Credentialing

Shelly has nearly 25 years of experience in the medical industry and has spent the last 13 years working specifically in credentialing and payor enrollment. She joins us from Supero Healthcare Solutions, where she worked for nearly a decade, starting as a project manager before moving into a director role and eventually Vice President of Operations. Shelly has also played a key part in customizing our credentialing software to meet specific needs for both PayrHealth and our clients.

Melissa Peterson

Chief Operating Officer, RCM

Melissa Peterson has been in the healthcare industry since 2005. She started her career as a clinic manager in a fast-paced multi-physician office. As Vice President of RCM Operations, she works hard to ensure PayrHealth has a highly successful, efficient team that produces desired outcomes all while providing great customer service. Her efforts with the staff have resulted in effectively standardizing many of the companies’ policies and procedures still used today. She has held the roles of nearly every position in the billing field: date entry, medical biller, team leader, supervisor, and vice president.

Her knowledge of the front end of the medical clinic, as well as her vast experience in the billing side, make her an extremely valuable member of the team.
